65th Annual Convention MLB meets in Charlottetown
Maritime Lumber Bureau members and guests met for the 65th Annual Convention in Charlottetown from June 2-4, 2004.

Under the theme “Impact 2004 – the world of wood”, the program was designed to promote the growing need of working together to promote wood as the “consumers product of preference” domestically and globally and at the same time evaluate the impact of current industry issues.

Of note, Grant Aldonas, the under secretary for international trade administration, United States Department of Commerce, was the special guest speaker at the 65th Annual Luncheon.

His comments and the publishing of new anti-dumping rates and countervailing duties on softwood lumber were at the center of all discussions at the end of the luncheon.
