Accurate Technology inc. - Linear Digital Measuring Systems
Founded in 1989, Accurate Technology, Inc. supplies affordable linear digital measuring systems worldwide. For more information, contact Accurate Technology or visit the company web site at www.proscale.com.

Systems are available from Accurate Technology at 800-233-0850 or at www.digi-kit.com.

Accurate Technology Introduces Digi-Router & Digi-Planer
Accurate Technology has introduced two new Digital Measuring Systems for Plunge Routers and Table Top Planers.

The new products – called Digi-Router and Digi-Planer – come complete with Digital Measuring System, installation hardware and operation instructions.

Systems are now available for Bosch 1619EVS, Porter Cable 7539 and Triton TRC001 Plunge Routers and DeWalt DW733, Delta 22-560 and 22-580 Table Top Planers, with additional kits planned for release in Q4, 2003.

The new Digital Readout works in place of the factory installed “rule” or “tape” measuring system. It displays plunge depth / planer opening to .0005 inch or .01mm.

Simple initial calibration using front panel UP, DOWN and ZERO buttons is performed during installation and is then stored. Power is supplied by one SR44 battery for up to one year.

ProStand II™ adds Enhanced Features
Accurate Technology has announced enhancements to its ProStand II system for measuring, calibrating and cataloging machinery cutterheads.

The ProStand II system is a two-axis cutterhead set-up stand that measures cutterhead Radius and Axial position of knife features using non-contact digital measurement technology.

The new improved version uses an integrated high resolution LCD flat panel display instead of a traditional CRT monitor, and a dual readout digital display in place of individual Axial and Radial readouts.

The new digital readout can print measurement information directly to a label printer via built-in RS232 as well as perform Arc/Radius (radius of circle calculation) measurements.

ProTool, the optional software for ProStand II, records tooling information such as measurements, where and when tooling was purchased, what machine(s) it has been run on, last time it was sharpened (how the tools measurements changed) and many other pertinent details for each tool. Bitmap images of the specified tools can be used to visually display specific measurement and reference points during the calibration and measurement process. This tooling information can easily be recalled to for production analysis, wear analysis, and tracking by vendor and shop location.

Founded in 1989, Accurate Technology, Inc. supplies affordable linear digital measuring systems to the woodworking, plastics and fabricating industries throughout the world.

Accurate Technology Introduces Position Control DRO
Accurate Technology has introduced a new Digital Readout system that incorporates position-controlling features.

The Position Control Unit (PCU) provides an OEM with a lower cost solution for the approximate automated positioning of a single axis on a machine.

The PCU is designed to operate with either a motor contactor or AC inverter to position a mechanical load to an approximate location. Fine positioning can be executed by a manual operation. The final positioning capability of the unit is directly related to the velocity of the axis, its coefficient of friction and its mass.

The PCU has a built in function that monitors for drift after positioning is completed. An optional feature of the PCU is the ability to provide an analog output that can be used to control the feed rate on a machine conveyor. The analog output can be used as the control voltage for a variable frequency AC inverter. This will allow direct control of the conveyor feed rate as a function of feet/minute or meters/minute based on programmable minimum and maximum rates.

The new system comes in a _ DIN panel mount package and requires 24VDC. It will be offered as a complete ProScale ABS™ system including the new PCU Digital Readout, encoder head and 250mm scale.

The new Digital Readout can also be retrofitted to any existing ProScale Model 150-10 system currently in use, making upgrading a matter of simply replacing the existing Digital Readout with the new PCU Digital Readout.

Gorilla Glue: The Woodworker’s Secret Weapon
First-of-its-kind, incredibly strong Gorilla Glue perfect for fix for nearly any tough woodworking project – large or small, indoors or out, wet or dry.

Woodworkers around the country are wondering what they did before Gorilla Glue. The savvy woodworker’s secret weapon, revolutionary Gorilla Glue is the toughest and most versatile glue in the marketplace. By bonding together almost any material, Gorilla Glue allows woodworkers to tackle nearly any woodworking project large or small, indoors or out, wet or dry.

How is Gorilla Glue different from other wood glues and adhesives? Polyurethane-based Gorilla Glue is a completely unique technology that soundly secures hardwoods and oily exotic woods – woods that are tough to secure with traditional wood glues. What’s more, Gorilla Glue is truly 100 percent waterproof, too, so it’s perfect for outdoor projects. Gorilla Glue won’t come undone. Period.

Here are just a few projects that woodworkers across the country are using Gorilla Glue to complete:
• Complex assembly work that requires longer working time;
• Waterproof joint construction;
• Bent wood laminations;
• Hardwood, softwood and oily exotic wood construction;
• Chair part assembly;
• Table top construction;
• Furniture assembly;
• Cabinet construction;
• Joint adhesion including dovetail, mortise & tenon, half-lap, rabbet,
finger, dowel and more.

“There is a place in every woodshop for Gorilla Glue,” says Doug Roach, director of marketing at Gorilla Glue. “From basic projects on outdoor decks and furniture to repairing delicate antiques and wooden boats, Gorilla Glue works amazingly well on projects of any scale both indoors and out. We’re excited to open up new possibilities for woodworkers and give them the confidence that their work will hold for years to come.”

Gorilla Glue is a tough, pure adhesive. A little goes a long way – it takes just one ounce of Gorilla Glue to cover one square foot, providing three to four times the coverage of other glue. In addition to being 100 percent waterproof and perfect for wood, Gorilla Glue bonds stone, metal, ceramics, Corian®, foam board and more. Originally used as an industrial adhesive for tough-to-glue materials, today Gorilla Glue is the first adhesive of its kind to bring this amazing industrial-strength sticking power to consumers.

Gorilla Glue is available at leading home centers and hardware stores nationwide. To find a Gorilla Glue retailer in your area, visit the Glue Finder at www.gorillaglue.com.
