When we started the wonderful adventure of publishing 2X4, we
wondered some days if we would make it through the first five years, the
critical time frame then for start-ups. Well here we are still and it’s
been twenty years!
Twenty years of writing with pleasure about successful projects created
by a great number of dynamic people in the total wood sector. This pleasure
has been a strong point for twenty years at the helm of 2X4 and it was
and is still our motivation to continue.
2X4 is also twenty years of photographs. We have lost count of how many,
but they have been and do remain the constant proof of the diversity of
activities and events in which great numbers of people working in and
around the wood sector participate worldwide. A picture is worth a thousand
words of the globalization of the sector.
Twenty years is an important milestone for a specialized trade publication
like 2X4 and we want to take this opportunity to thank all our readers
that regularly show their support with the renewal of their annual subscription
and our advertisers who all, over the last twenty years, have used our
media to inform our readers of the total wood sector about their products,
services and equipments.
Twenty years of pleasure, smiles, enthusiasm and mutual respect, that
is in short how we can summarize the road traveled with 2X4.
A tip of the hat to all of you and we hope to have the pleasure of meeting
you at the 7th edition of Technibois
in Quebec City next April 29-30 and May 1st, 2004.
