WEINIG : The New Generation of Weinig Moulders: Perfectly Tailored for Modern Production
The demands of the consumer have changed. In addition to demanding high quality, they demand more individuality. For the woodworking industry, this means that the era of large runs has come to an end. Small and medium-sized orders are requested more often. But how do you make a small-run production profitable? Weinig provides the answers with its new generation of machines. Offered in several different models, they are individually designed to meet your demands. All models have one thing in common: while providing a high quality standard, they provide for very quick set-ups and even faster production. The enormous advances are achieved through a number of revolutionary technical developments.

The crucial breakthrough came with the PowerLock tooling. With this new system, tools can be exchanged in seconds by just pressing a button. And with PowerLock, cutterhead revolutions of up to 12,000 rpm can be reached, allowing feed speeds two or three times higher as compared to conventional machines. With PowerLock, the daily production output can be doubled, the cost per item reduced, and the delivery times shortened.

Another important new development is the “Re-Dial” Memory System. The main advantage: all setting data of all previous manufactured profiles can be recalled by pressing a button. Component accuracy is to print - avoiding potential setting errors. Turning a couple of knobs is all it takes. While your competitor is still doing set-up, you already have your production in full swing.

With central adjustment of the pressure elements and fences, the new generation of moulders from Weinig provide another important innovation. Now, it is possible to quickly and precisely adjust the chipbreaker before the cutterhead and the pressure shoe after the cutterhead simultaneously. This is not only easy but also reduces set-up scrap and saves a lot of set-up time.

The user can choose the machine that best fulfils his requirements from Weinig’s new generation of moulders. The absolute state-of-the-art machine is the Unimat 3000 Brillant. It combines all the above-mentioned outstanding features and allows for fully automatic set-up as well as an electronically organized production flow. Thanks to PowerLock and the new Weinig software LogoCom, a new dimension in performance has opened up. This new profile center can boast of a reduction in set-up time to less than five minutes (on conventional machines between 15 and 40 minutes!), a four-fold increase in production capacity with double the feed speed, and a reduction of production costs by up to 60%. If there is a need for a very high operating performance and manufacturing flexibility, the Unimat 3000 Brillant is unsurpassed.

The Unimat 2000 is suited for the industrial wood machining company with somewhat lower production requirements but still in need of high manufacturing flexibility. It is also equipped with the PowerLock tooling, making it possible to produce twice as fast as before.

The latest Weinig development is the Unimat 1000 Star. It is the right moulder for those who need to adjust faster to customer requirements than before. Due to the “Re-Dial” Memory System and the central adjustment of the pressure units and fences, set-up time can be considerably reduced.

Cutting-Edge TwinLaserTM System Beams Delta Into A League Of Its Own
Delta Machinery launched a one-of-a-kind 12” compound miter saw with laser - the model 36-255L. This saw incorporates an adjustable TwinLaserTm system that shows the exact line of cut on either side of the blade kerf, at any angle, bright enough for outdoor use, with or without the need to have the blade in motion. Combined with the user-friendly features in all Delta compound miter saws, the model 36-255L will certainly stand in a category by itself.

Beginning with a powerful 15 amp, 120 Volt motor (3500 rpm), the 36-255L offers the maximum cutting power available in the market. A large bevel scale and miter lock design provides speed and convenience. Quick tilt settings are simple thanks to a large bevel scale with adjustable positive stops at 0° and 45°. Other lock features include a quick-action miter lock for faster miter settings and a built-in arbor lock for smooth, single wrench blade changes. Moreover, the miter scale features nine positive stops for amazingly accurate cuts every time. An attached dust bag collects fine dust particles and woodchips.

Performance and comfort features complete the model 36-255L. The patented base design is convenient for either bench or job site 2x4 sawhorse mounting. An electric blade brake automatically stops in seconds, providing less waiting and more cutting. Sliding fences adjust for increased work support, and are extra tall for handling large work pieces or cutting crown molding on edge instead of flat on the table. A large, easygrip handle is positioned horizontally to reduce operator fatigue and provide better control during operation. Additionally, a see-thru blade guard covers the 40-tooth carbide-tipped blade at all times, and automatically retracts after each cut.

Geared toward applications such as framing, decking, chair railing, trim work, and cabinetry, the model 36-255L comes complete with a premium 40T carbide-tipped blade, integrated left work extension, retractable blade guard, dust bag, wrenches, and operating manual.

AN6400 Spark Detection System
Hansentek, manufacturer of Spark Detection / Extinguishment Systems is pleased to introduce the new AN6400. The system is fully expandable up to 64 zones, yet is still competitive even for single zone systems.

Each zone can individually identify each spark in the zone and monitor water flow switches, water pressure valves, heat tracing systems as well as heat detectors. Upon activation by a spark or heat alarm the system can initiate a variety of responses such as: spraying water, closing abort gates, shutting down dust collectors, etc.

The AN6400 stores all events in memory, stamped with the time and date of the occurrence. You can conveniently scan through these on the bright LCD display of the control panel. Another feature of the AN6400 is the capability to store the spark counts in memory that can be viewed for each detector. The system can automatically perform a functional sensitivity test on every spark detector under actual operating conditions across the full width of the duct through both lenses.

All of these features are standard - not high cost options.

Adding zones to the AN6400 is very simple. The zone modules simply snap onto DIN rails and all wiring is connected via convenient plug-in connectors. Selectable features allow you to tailor each zone to your particular hazard.

Our 100-1w detectors can detect and signal the presence of a spark in less than 60 microseconds. This quick response, coupled with our high-speed solenoid ensures a full water spray pattern is established across the entire duct in a quarter of a second.

The AN6400 was designed to give the utmost in protection, information and control with minimum service requirements. The system is Factory Mutual Approved.
