L’A.M.P.C.Q. a maintenant 25 ans!
25 ans! Ça n’arrive pas tous les jours. Aussi, il
fallait fêter ça.
C’est sur la Côte Nord, plus précisément à
Tadoussac, que les membres se sont réunis en cette fin de semaine
des 27 et 28 septembre 2002.
Plus de 80 congressistes ont partagé cocktails, repas, croisière
d’observation des baleines, soirée thématique sous
le thème « disco fever », et
soirée dansante, dans une ambiance chaleureuse et fraternelle.
Suite à des élections tenues en assemblée générale,
le nouveau Conseil d’Administration est composé des membres
suivants :

Une plaque de reconnaissance a été remise au président
sortant, Monsieur Gilles Ethier, par le nouveau président, Monsieur
Léandre Pellerin.
Un cadeau souvenir a été remis à chacun des congressistes
ainsi qu’une rose à chacune des 40 femmes qui rehaussaient

Rhéaume McLaughlin
honoré par le Club des Bois Francs
Le Club des Bois Francs de Montréal honorait, lors de son souper de
Noël, M. Rhéaume McLaughlin, depuis plus de cinquante ans au service
de la National Hardwood Lumber Association.
Lors du souper, M. Jean-Pierre Lussier, de Simon Lussier Ltée, a présenté
avec quelques anecdotes humoristiques M. McLaughlin avant de lui offrir
une plaque l’honorant comme pionnier de l’industrie.
Près de quatre-vingt personnes avaient accepté l’invitation du Club
des Bois Francs pour l’événement annuel qu’est le souper de Noël.Consulter

Leading Exposition
and Industry Educational Program at the 2003 Wood Technology Clinic
and Show
The 31st annual Wood Technology Clinic and Show will be held March 19-21,
2003 at the Oregon Convention Center, Portland, Oregon USA. The major
industry event for wood processing products, technologies, equipment,
services, information and ideas will offer a premier exposition and
conference program that is designed to meet the needs of this ever-changing
industry.
The Wood Technology Clinic and Show presents the largest exposition
in North America featuring over 800 booths and occupying over 150,000
gross sq. ft. of exhibit space. Industry professionals will be in touch
with the newest industry advancements as over 400 manufacturers and
distributors representing North America and abroad showcase the latest
equipment, services, tools, software and technologies. The show is expected
to attract close to 7,000 attendees.
In addition to the exposition, a comprehensive and dynamic conference
program comprises three full days of highly targeted sessions covering
industry growth trends and opportunities, business management issues
and production practices. With a combination of hands-on and theoretical
presentations, professionals in the wood processing and manufacturing
industry will acquire valuable insight to gain that competitive edge
in today's corporate environment.
The program has been expanded for 2003 to include additional seminars
on the engineered wood segment. Such notable sessions include: "Glulam
Timber: How New Technology is Changing an Old Product," and "Structural
Engineered Wood Production and Market Outlook."
"The Wood Technology Clinic and Show is adapting to the demands of the
industry," stated Fred Cambria, Sales Director. "By catering the program
to attendee needs, we hope they will leave with the tools necessary
to add value to their business and boost productivity."
The full conference package is $150, which includes three full days
of sessions, free admittance to the exposition and one ticket to the
popular Northwest Brewfest, to be held Thursday evening. The price goes
down to $110 for attending just Wednesday or Thursday of the conference
and to $75 for Friday attendance.
VNU Expositions' Building Group produces the Wood Technology Clinic
